SW 15th Street Boca
This beautiful Boca home is located on a point lot. The seawall is constructed of 4 foot tongue and groove panels. A few years back , on a dark and stormy night, 115 seawalls of this type collapsed. This one happened to survive. However the wall recently started to fail at the bottom. Most of the time, this type of seawall fails at the top. Ronin brought in our engineers to figure the best way to handle the repair. The Ronin team worked closely with the city of Boca, to engineer a repair for the wall. The repair will be batter piles driven every ten feet with a new seawall cap to reinforce the wall at the top. A bottom footer made up of sheet piles, poured concrete and steel, will reinforce the bottom . This Footer will take 2 divers in the water over 2 weeks to form, tie the steel and pour the concrete. This repair, that the Ronin Team as designed has now been adopted and become the industry standard for the City of Boca Raton for a repair to a seawall failing in this manner.
The boat lift also had to be moved to allow room for the larger seawall cap. This will be a permanent repair for this failing seawall. After the seawall repair Ronin will be also installing a top of the line Ipa wood Dock.
